Extensive New Store Unit to be Opened Tomorrow
Los Angeles Times, August 20, 1939
"The doors of the newly completed five-story addition to the Saks Fifth Avenue store ... Beverly Hills, are scheduled to be opened tomorrow ... The charm of the original building continues through the new addition. There is a series of rooms decorated and furnished in keeping with the type of merchandise displayed ... The beautiful restaurant on the roof will be supervised by Alexander D. Perino ... Architect Paul Williams designed the building" and the interior in collaboration with Tom Douglas.
